REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY
Rahim's Approach to Massage Therapy
Our therapeutic relationship is deeply grounded on the premise that body and mind are inseparable. We work together to incorporate all aspects of what make you, you; this includes mental, emotional, physical & spiritual well-being, lifestyle choices & habits, previous experiences, and all other elements that contribute to your overall health. Each treatment is intentionally curated so we can work synergistically to initiate and/or experience an optimal state
Breaking Old Patterns
Daily patterns & habits, stress, injuries, traumatic experiences, surgeries, genetic attributes, health conditions and a host of other factors, can lead to symptoms of physical or emotional discomfort, restrictions and eventually dysfunction & dysregulation within our body. The moment you realize your body is demanding your attention and asking for intervention, is the moment you begin to break patterns and embark on your personal journey towards repair, restoration and wellness.
What To Expect
Our primary intentions during each session are to:
-
slow down, tune in and pay attention to any discomfort arising from physical or emotional symptoms
-
gradually train the conscious mind to regain control over automatic reactions to symptoms using breathwork & mindful awareness
-
guide your body's inner intelligence to develop different, healthier responses to old symptoms, patterns and other external stimuli
Since lotions or oils are not used during treatment, most patients remained fully clothed so comfortable clothing is necessary for your session. You may bring clothes to change into before treatment, preferably loose fitting or stretchy pants/tights; long or short t-shirt, tank-top or sports bra - NO JEANS PLEASE! With your permission, I may apply a therapeutic salve, lotion or oil to specific areas for specified symptom relief.
